Angel Reese is a once-in-a-generation player. And this WNBA season has already placed her further into the history books.
Let’s look at it for a moment:
New WNBA single-season records for double-doubles and total rebounds.
The first player in league history to reach 500 rebounds in a season.
Defensive Player of the Year.
A gold medal with Team USA at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The youngest player in WNBA playoff history to record at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a game.
And the season isn’t finished.
Last night, Reese led the Atlanta Dream to the first WNBA Finals win in franchise history with 30 points and 16 rebounds. Atlanta beat Golden State 79–65 to even the series.
It came two nights after a difficult second half in Game 1. Afterward, Reese acknowledged that she wasn’t aggressive enough. Two days later, she delivered a response that changed the series.
That type of resilience is part of what I see when I look at the business she’s building. She understands that a difficult night can be followed by another opportunity to show people who she is.
Her partnerships, collaborations and investments tell the story of a player building for a much bigger moment than a single game.
She arrived with a business
I first wrote about Angel Reese in 2023, when NIL was still fresh, and she was quietly building a playbook for the future. She entered the WNBA with a business already in place and NIL partnerships that transitioned to endorsements.
